You can now see your content laid out on your OTT Homepage including custom media rows and a carousel for featured content.

Its finally time to get a taste for how your content will look in your personalized OTT frontend. While we are initially launching a limited version of the homepage right now, the rest of the OTT frontend is nearly ready for rollout in the next few days so stay tuned for more!

Launched

• OTT Frontend: Navigate to [yourdomain.com](<http://yourdomain.com>) (without /vc-admin) to view the initial beta version your OTT web app. ****
• Sign In / Register: In the top right corner of the OT web app, you can now register a new account or sign in. Note that you can use your existing Viewcastle admin account to sign into the web app as well, or register a new non-admin account.
• Homepage: Go to / to visit your site’s homepage. You can currently see and watch your featured content and any media rows you’ve added to your homepage. To add rows to your homepage, sign into the admin portal at /vc-admin and go to Layout -> Pages -> Home.
• Feature Carousel: Your homepage features a carousel at the top of the page containing the content that you’ve chosen to feature. To feature content, edit a video or an event under Content -> Videos / Events in the admin portal at /vc-admin. In the future, you’ll be able to order your featured items in the carousel under Layout -> Pages -> Home.
• Video Player: In your OTT web app, click Watch now on any of your videos to watch your videos with the new Viewcastle video player. When watching, you have the option to minimize the player so users can continue navigating the site while watching a video at the same time.

👉 NOTE: At this moment, you must be signed in with an account in order to watch videos. In the future, you’ll be able to control this with the Gates that you setup in the admin portal by configuring your content to be public, require account, require subscription, or pay-per-view.

• Details: Click on a video in a media row or View details on a featured item in order to see additional information before choosing to watch it. This details screen is currently a basic initial beta version.
• Footer Links: Go to Setup -> Settings -> Organization to add links to your OTT app’s footer such as your privacy policy.

Near-term

• Manage Admin Users
• Explore: Browse or search for content on this page by recently added, live & upcoming events, and available on-demand.
• Manage Profile: Manage your profile on the OTT web app.
• Live Now: View currently live events in the header from anywhere in the OTT web app, or see currently live events in a row right at the top of your homepage.
• Gated Content: Put up registration or paywalls that are enforced on your OTT web app.
• My Library: Browse favorited content that you added to your watchlist, or on-demand content that you’ve purchased.
• Features of the OTT Frontend will be rolled out over time, but we will start by rolling out the homepage.
• Sub-Products: Add one or many sub-products under your recurring products if you want your recurring product to provide access to the same content as other products. For example:
• A Nature Pay-Per-View one-time product is setup to be $4.99 one-time to purchase and watch a nature video. You then set up a Nature+ recurring product for $4.99/mo and you want the subscription to give users access to all your nature videos including those that are pay-per-view. To do this, you would set Nature Pay-Per-View as a sub-product of Nature+.
• Automated Media Rows: Configure where certain automated rows will display on your OTT application, such as:
• “Recent”
• “Upcoming”
• “Keep Watching”
• “New”
• Custom Pages
• Menus: Define which custom pages to show in your web application’s header and which to show in a “More” menu.
